Leave No Trace
Coillte is part of a number of initiatives to encourage the public to get the most out of the land such as Leave No Trace. This encourages visitors to respect the area they wish to visit and consider the other people who are enjoying the space too.
Dublin Mountains Partnership
The Dublin Mountains Partnership has also successfully established a long distance trail working with local councils and some private landowners. It spreads across the mountains from Shankill to Tallaght with about 43km of trails all fully waymarked.
Walkers and Cyclists Welcome
From family trips to mountain biking, every cyclist can enjoy Coillte's network of cycle trails. Coillte has posted signs at sites that are designated for cycling. You can also use the trail search to find an area near you.
