Cavan Burren Park
RDS Forest Service Community Woodlands Award Winner 2014.
This new recreational and educational facility was only officially opened in May 2014.
The park has a large number of archaeological ,geological and cultural heritage features and is part of the UNESCO designated Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark which covers parts of counties Cavan and Fermanagh.
The park has 4.5 km of new trails, one of which is a 1km multi access trail, an opened-sided interpretive centre, a fantastic 360 degree viewing area ,and parking for cars and mini buses. Over 5,000 people have already visited the park since its opening.
Well worth a visit if you are anywhere near Blacklion in north west Cavan!
